F.A.Q.

Is this a religious or spiritual event?

No. The Meditation World Cup is strictly a secular, physiological competition. We measure autonomic nervous system regulation. Whether a competitor achieves that state via Vipassana, Zen, Vedic chanting (internal), or purely secular breathwork is irrelevant to the scoring system. We measure the data, not the doctrine.

What happens if a competitor falls asleep?

Micro-sleeps are inevitable in a 100-hour event. However, unapproved sleep (falling into Delta-wave dominance outside the designated 15-minute recovery windows) results in massive point deductions. If a competitor remains asleep for more than 4 minutes, an auditory alarm in their pod will wake them. Repeat offenses lead to disqualification.

How do they eat and drink?

Nutrition must be consumed during the 15-minute recovery windows every 6 hours. Most competitors use high-calorie liquid nutrition (like specialized sports gels or meal replacements) to maximize caloric intake without wasting time chewing, leaving more of the 15 minutes for micro-sleep.

Can I use psychedelics or nootropics?

Absolutely not. We follow WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) guidelines, plus an extended list of cognitive enhancers, beta-blockers, and stimulants (including excessive caffeine). Competitors are blood-tested before entering the pod and immediately upon exit.
